Rippa’s Chiropractic Cocktail

kelly-ripa-michael-strahan-900-600-09-04-12According to a report by examiner.com Kelly Rippa’s “go to” diet is actually a cleanse developed by her chiropractor  Dr. Daryl Gioffre who is also a nutritionist.  He is a self described “former sugar addict turned chiropractor, alkaline lifestyle expert, health coach, certified raw food chef, triathlete & ultra-marathoner.”  The cleanse is called the AlkaMind Get Off Your Acid cleanse.  It’s a 7 day cleanse (although many people whom have tried it, like it, and and stay on it for much longer than the 7 days.  Most people think of cleanses as a period of torture, but not this one.  According to Dr. Gioffre this cleanse involves  avoiding acidic foods and consuming pro-alkaline foods like kale, spinach and other dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds, avocados and whole grains such as quinoa which is high in protein.  In addition to the alkaline foods, Dr. Gioffre recommends avoiding acidic foods.  He also recommends a green vegetable powder shake once a day with additional mineral supplementation and of course plenty of water.   Visit Dr. Daryl Gioffre’s website for more information on the hit television star Kelly Rippa’s “go to” diet.
